Mary is Happy, Mary is Happy is a genuine original: a sort of Celine and Julie Go Tweeting. Go to Full Review

Mary is Happy, Mary is Happy is based on 410 consecutive tweets from a teenager called Mary Maloney. It's actually quite an intriguing, episodic attempt to channel a new form of communication into an old medium. Up to a point. Go to Full Review

Beneath the modern veneer, something timeless emerges: a (pretty good) coming-of-age story. Go to Full Review

Characters, whilst somewhat sympathetic, never feel fully fleshed out and the teenage angst that pours from the screen is hard to relate to when the world it inhabits is so alien. Go to Full Review

10/14/2021 A fine continuity of life in this tweets based film. Loss in love, friendship and life, all that can happen in a moment and life continues to move on. You have to grow up with it, you can't fight it forever. See more 03/05/2021 The film is directed by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit Director of "freelance", "36" and "Happy old year" All of his films felt profound and required interpretation. Like this movie That require interpretation of the story. A story about a high school senior named Mary living the odd school life, figuring out love, and trying to understand herself. And in the process, Mary and her best friend, Suri, are working to finish their high school yearbook also. The amazing part is this movie is the writer write a story based on 410 tweets of a Thai teenager named Mary Malony (@marylony). One tweet had few words. But it can be created as a unit in sequence based on Mary's actual tweets. Even though the movie was pointless, it was clearly emotional, with lots of jokes, easter eggs and social parodies. As I said, watching this movie requires some analytical thinking, causing the audience to be confused. But for sure, the movie will give you a very emotional touch. If I hadn't actually watched this movie, I would have been very sad.The movie was released in 2013, when I was 12 years old. I still don't know, and even though I don't want to see it. But now I understand how good a movie is for my soul. If you look at the example and are still confused, scared, do not know about it. You try to open up. Though I do not know about it but you will feel a lot about this movie. See more adam b 06/10/2020 About as entertaining as reading an annoying and useless ‘tumblr girl' thread. The main character is just so unlikable it's hard to care or sympathize See more 07/22/2014 Great '1984' model in the modern flick See more 06/01/2014 At times hysterically funny, other times shocking, depressing, and sad. Just like life, just like twitter. Unfortunately this movie is about 30-minutes too long making the end a tad exhausting. See more Read all reviews
