And is a very good story to dive into this kind of relationships in which two woman are looking for love and the incapability of comunicate between mother and daughter. It is a good idea to center the story on the little girl more than on the mother, her world brings that idea of innocence on the verge of being lost but this flash of hope and dare spirit. Ultimamente he visto como el cine mexicano independiente, más que antes, se ha enfocado en los niños para contar historias a los adultos. Este recurso me ha parecido fallido en la mayoría de los casos porque siento que apelan a usar a un niño al no poderle darle madurez a la historia. En este caso, la historia muestra esa madurez y por lo tanto la niña, aunque vive en un universo correspondiente a su edad (no es el típico niño del cine y la tv que actúa como adulto) nos muestra la historia con la carga dramática requeridas para hacer la película interesante y emocional. Hubo un momento de la película que si sale sobrando, después de todo lo único que sucede en la película es la repetición de un hombre tras otro en la vida (y en el cuerpo) de la madre y en el último momento se vuelve ya bastante repetitiva la escena. And the imagination of vampire in children's mind is also fascinating. I waited for the director to develop the concept of vampire/ the sick neighbour. However, I was disappointed. This movie would be much more profound if the director can dip deeper into the essence of children's mind and Alicia's relationship with her mother.
