isla s This is quite an intense film, in a way. The dialogue is very good and the characters are certainly intriguing - there's quite a strong sense of mystery present throughout. Its quite stylish for the time it was made with some interesting visuals - card tricks (i.e. magic tricks) are shown at different times. Its thought provoking and somehow relatively poignant too. It's quite an arty film and its not primarily full of sex scenes, even though the main plotline may make you fear it would be.I thought this film was well made and I can understand why its regarded a cult classic, so yes, I'd recommend it. It's worth a watch to see a young Juliette Bonche, if not for any other reason. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member So many good performances, so interestingly shot on film while making no realistic sense it compels one to want to know what might possibly happen next Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member very romantic, french. painterly presentation. strange and timeless. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review nefasto r After "Holy Motors" I thought I was not going to give a second chance to Leos Carax, but, as a friend recommended this one, here I am. Gladly (mostly). The direction is stylish and unique, and the love triangle, and love in general, propels the story from the beginning to the end. Not the easiest of films, clearly, but with great dialogs. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Mauvais Sang or Bad Blood, the English title, stars Dennis Levant as Alex, a small time criminal about to break into the criminal big time. After the death of his father, Alex is sought by his father's former associates, Marc (Michel Piccoli) and Hans (Hans Meyer) to be part of a heist that will require his quick hands. The heist involves stealing the cultures of a dangerous virus that is ravaging France, a plague that affects those who make love without being in love. https://geeks.media/classic-movie-review-mauvais-sang?_ga=2.87862744.1126457623.1513947710-953607229.1513947710 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member My God, that was so French! Expected a film about a strange and deadly plague, instead got two hours of people talking whilst chain smoking. Ah well, live and learn...
