Sam (Nassim Lyes) is a professional boxer about to be released from prison in France, but while on parole, his past catches up with him and he is forced to flee the country. Five years later, he has rebuilt a simple life on an exotic island in Thailand with his wife Mia and her daughter Dara, working multiple jobs to support his family and buy a piece of land to build a restaurant. As his life begins to improve, a job gone wrong puts Sam in the crosshairs of local crime lord Narong (Olivier Gourmet), who retaliates with brutal violence. Crushed but still alive, Sam is left with only one purpose: to seek merciless and bone-breaking vengeance.

Gens doesn’t fulfill on the punctuation in his premise, especially in the interminable first half of the film, which starts with a bang that portends “The Raid”-esque non-stop action and then spins its wheels in set-up that feels like it takes forever.

La actuación de Nassim Lyes me parece acartonada, el cine de acción ha encontrado un balance muy interesante entre los actores que aligeran sus películas con algo de humor y secuencias dramáticas. Sam vive angustiado, melancólico y aunque enamorado de su esposa e hija no deja de transmitirnos una sensación de angustia por los inminentes acontecimientos. La película, como muchas de acción, tiene secuencias de pelea bien montadas y sangrientas. Hay personajes que son resistentes más allá de la lógica. En fin, no me parece una película recomendable

I did enjoy parts of this movie but I have to agree with others that it is very slow at times. I think I actually could have napped in a few places. The fight scenes were very poorly choreographed. They compared this movie to John Wick which is just crazy.
