Synopsis
Claude Berri, director and star of the film, plays a French encyclopedia salesman on the verge of marrying his pregnant girlfriend, Isabelle (Elisabeth Wiener), who comes from a wealthy Belgian family, notably represented by her smug parents Monsieur and Madame Schmoll. As their elaborate, family-filled Jewish wedding and reception draw near, Claude gets cold feet, and an affair with his tutor threatens to derail the whole ceremony and celebration.
