Kate Muir Times (UK) Based on Gallienne's one-man theatre show, the film camps its way through flamenco-style dancing, a German spa, sexual near-misses and an English boarding school. Rated: 3/5 Dec 4, 2014 Full Review Alex Dudok de Wit Time Out Every social group is reduced to the crudest clich. Rated: 1/5 Dec 2, 2014 Full Review Peter Calder New Zealand Herald Moving seamlessly between stage and screen enactments, Guillaume, who plays both himself and his neurotic, chain-smoking mum, concocts plenty of blackly comic moments. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 26, 2016 Full Review Sarah Ward Trespass Funny, thoughtful and bubbling over with feeling, the feature shines brightest and rings truest when its driving force is at his best -- which, thankfully, is most of its brief running time. Feb 12, 2015 Full Review Cara Nash FILMINK (Australia) Any self-pity is outweighed by a healthy dose of self-deprecating humour. Feb 5, 2015 Full Review Andrew L. Urban Urban Cinefile Quirky, yes, but perhaps not as commercially approachable as it was in France, where screen culture is more adventurous and experimentation is welcomed Feb 2, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member la amo, como lei en una reseña, un drama disfrazado de comedia Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I had known about this movie since it won big at the Cesar awards. So I was expecting it to be good, yet I wasn't sure what to expect from the story. And I did like it, Guillaume's performance was really good in his dual roles, and the story was also very touching and more complex than you would expect. Although I still have to process it more thoroughly, it was overall a good dramedy, that although maybe because of its context it became so popular in France, I still felt like it was missing something to be more than a good movie. Still I would recommend it, and Guillaume's sure demonstrates a lot of talent in front and behind the camera. ~August 19, 2016~ Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Les garçons et Guillaume, à table [French, 2014] Interesting take on gender identity. Written, acted, & directed superbly by Guillaume. 8/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Muy buena! Súper ingeniosa y divertida Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Between 2.5 and 3. Clearly surprising, but I am not sure I am enthusiastic about it. In any case, it is a testimony, and you must always respect that.
