Donna C I absolutely loved it. I was sceptical at first to watch it based on the review that I read but it's a must see. It's captivating and compelling and reviting. Mysterious and dramatic. I am glad I watched it. Mea Culpa is a must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Taniqua J It was good. Very extra and dramatic but still put together well. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Audience Member All the bangs and flashes are in the right place, though virtually none of the characters are developed. It's an over-produced chase scene, but most thrillers are little more. Yet Cavayé is able to evoke the odd slice of emotion amongst all of the 'don't think too hard on this one' action. Simple plot? Yes. Well done? Yes. But 'Point Blank' was better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Once the French made tight well scripted seductive policiers, alas it seem's no longer. Lazy cliched action film without wit or panache or tension. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member kinda hard to follow through the first 1/3 though picks up abit ish towards the end. kudos to the DP and camera crew on this one for making the Epic look awesome as always. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member French suspence-movie from the moment the Kid saw something he shouldn't see ...why are those bad people Always so ugly ? Wendy Ide Times (UK) The French thriller Mea Culpa is indeed a very, very stupid film. Rated: 2/5 Dec 4, 2014 Full Review Andrew Pulver Guardian Cavay pumps up the car chases and shootouts, and pumps down the plausibility; but it all moves along at such a lick it doesn't matter much. Rated: 3/5 Dec 4, 2014 Full Review Sophie Monks Kaufman Little White Lies Handsome action nonsense. Rated: 3/5 Dec 4, 2014 Full Review Stefan Pape HeyUGuys Though unreservedly generic - particularly in the storytelling and the indistinctive narrative structure, Mea Culpa remains a picture that's easy to indulge yourself in. Rated: 3/5 Dec 24, 2014 Full Review Stephen Carty Radio Times Fans of fast-paced action movies will find much to enjoy in this bruising thriller from promising French filmmaker Fred Cavay.
