Wilson and Wilde have a light touch that makes them perfect for the comedies they often make. Here, Morano leads them to much darker places, and they plunge right in. Go to Full Review

A film with two very strong central performances from a pair of underrated actors that falters by being so self-aware of the tortured existence it's attempting to capture. Go to Full Review

Meri S. @mschroeder Nov 30 A sad, and very emotional story about a couple whose child goes missing. The acting was great. Very good cast. The story was just a hard one and took some strange directions. See more @ExcessMale 01/26/2022 Certainly takes an unorthodox, occasionally stunted yet absorbing route as a film premised on a couple's abducted child. Really, Meadowland is effectively a character study and one of Olivia Wilde's best vehicles in her career so far. See more 11/28/2020 A very depressing look at the affects of what the loss of a child would be like. Very well acted by the main characters. See more brendan n 03/04/2020 Meadowland is further evidence of the love for indie cinema. This is a heartbreaking film of the characters attempting to move on after a family tragedy. Luke Wilson has never been the big name, but he has never been dull and his performance here is incredible. Olivia Wilde is the key to the film and she demonstrates why she now has the ability to step behind the camera. She is also in amazing form and it's tough to watch this film. Meadowland wasn't an easy film to track down, but I would recommend checking it out if you're a fan of indie dramas. This is a dark drama so be warned going in, but it's worth it. 29/02/2020 See more phil.lacefield 02/29/2020 I am suddenly a Huge Fan of Elisabeth Moss! Wow! What an amazing performance! I was totally drawn in! Thank you! See more 10/28/2018 Meadowland follows the story of a married couple who lose their son and the different dark paths their grief sends them down. As you can imagine, this isn't a particularly cheery film and it's one you would struggle to 'enjoy' but Olivia Wilde does give what is probably the performance of her career in a stand out performance. The rest of the film is decent enough but there was one niggle need the end of the film where something is implied but never made clear by the time the credits roll which I found frustrating. Certainly not a film you would watch more than once. See more Read all reviews
