Carter (Landen Amos), a young, struggling, but charming Black writer, meets Amber Leigh (Jeanine Harrington), an older, enigmatic professional white woman, at a bar in Santa Monica. After sleeping together, Amber reveals she's running from a deteriorating marriage and proposes that Carter stay with her for the weekend. Carter begrudgingly accepts in hopes that she may be his long-sought muse. True feelings soon emerge as they engage in a series of thoughtful, humorous, and soul-baring conversations. However, as the weekend comes to an end, they must decide whether to continue their torrid romance or go their separate ways.

Meeting Ms. Leigh was beautifully shot and wonderfully produced. The acting performances were done well and we loved the twist at the end of the movie. We wished the stakes were a little higher for Carter and his writing competition but overall we enjoyed the film. Hats off to R.S. Veira and his team.

Meeting Ms. Leigh is a delightful love story with strong acting performances, amazing music and an intriguing storyline. Mixing both drama and comedy, the film gives a fresh take on interracial dating. It is a must-see indie classic.

Raphael Veira is a phenomenal writer and produced an incredible film on a serendipitous love story. Bringing light to relatable moments in life that are once in a lifetime kind of thrills. Movie was perfect for its target audience.

I loved seeing Meeting Mrs. Leigh at the Marina Del Rey Film Festival. The film won the grand prize, and it was more than deserved. Raphael, the creator of the film, put so much heart into this relatable love story. The characters are complex, the scenery is exquisite and the team captures every intimate moment so gently. This is a wonderful story about those great loves in life, though not endgame, that have the power to completely change everything. Definitely watch this movie if you’re looking for a powerful, bittersweet love story. You will not be disappointed!

Synopsis
