Carlojulio S LA PEOR PELICULA DE DREAMWORKS Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review John z Considering how great the first one was makes this even more of a disappointment. I fell asleep trying to watch it twice with my son who is 2 and loves the first one. Seems like this movie was made in a vouple months only to push the new series but if the series is anything like this movie it will to be awful. The casting isn't nearly as good as the first one neither is the writing what a wasted opportunity Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Audience Member SO SHOOT THEM WITH THE DEHYDRATION GUN Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Blu B Is it THE worst animated film ever made? No it's not but it's really bad. The animation is horrifcally bad. It looks cheap like a watered down Saturday Morning cartoon and than on top of that it look really choppy and unfinished in the majority of scenes. Than the scenes themselves are so stupid and half the time make no sense. The voice acting is subpar also. The replacement actors don't sound anything like the first one and the villians aren't good and all blend in terribly. The music is just forgettable which is a terrible sin considering how good the first was. Finally the editing is terrible and the pacing is really bad. This just knows one speed: Floor it the entire way. There is zero character devlopment in this and the core story that is here is so dumb, lazy, and over the top ridiculius. It borrows from other animated and non animated flicks. It just keeps throwing nonstop ridiculous stuff at you and never has quiet moments to absorb things or character interactions. The jokes are lame and this can be summed up by the ending poop joke. Skip This. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Jaykeb G This isn’t how we wanted the Megamind sequel to go. It seems like they made this without even realizing how much we wanted a sequel to Megamind. Watch paint dry instead of this film. Nell Minow RogerEbert.com It is intermittently funny and briefly heartwarming, as though they ran the original through the washing machine a few times, and then faxed it. Rated: 2/4 Mar 2, 2024 Full Review Lael Loewenstein FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) A cash grab with lame jokes... If you like the first one, then do yourself a favor and stay away from this Megamind. Mar 23, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media The ideas are perhaps more obvious than in the original, which might also make them a tad less interesting for older audiences, but Megamind's heart remains in the right place. Mar 11, 2024 Full Review Rachel Wagner rachelsreviews.net The fact is DreamWorks took Megamind and made junk and that offends me Rated: 0/10 Mar 7, 2024 Full Review Austin Burke Austin Burke/Flick Fan Nation The first had so much going for it, and this absolutely demolishes any momentum. Rated: 1/10 Mar 7, 2024 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com The effort is mostly about making noise, finding the writing unable to improve on the already low standards of the original film.
