Rex Reed Observer Mercy is not long enough to bore you to death—just long enough for a nice nap. Rated: 1/4 May 22, 2023 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion A bargain-basement take on the “Die Hard” formula set in a hospital rather than a skyscraper....Even John McClane couldn’t have saved “Mercy.” Rated: D Jun 3, 2023 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture There is little genuine danger in Mercy. May 25, 2023 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media This "Die Hard in a hospital" action movie almost works; it's lean and efficient, but it's also just a little bit too ridiculous and fatally un-self-aware. Rated: 2/5 May 20, 2023 Full Review Gary M. Kramer MovieJawn The B-movie Mercy, about an escalating hostage situation that unfolds in a hospital, contains plenty of fights, gun violence, and explosions, but it is hardly edge-of-your-seat stuff. rendolph shirvin r the movie director is very good. very good in pissing me off, dry, stupid, unrealistic movie.. i watch till the end because I thought it's just the beginning, but it's getting worst. A+ to the director for being very good in pissing off the viewers. If you're in a good mood and you feel lucky I recommend you to watch this, and it will change everything. 🤣🤣🤣 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/25 Full Review Matteo G Really not that bad.. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/28/25 Full Review Jack t Get ready for your entertainment of my boredom what you've been waiting for because this is another one of those films that stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Jon Voight from the god-awful film, Dangerous Game: A Legacy Murders, and good God almighty, I don't know how many times I've ever said that title, it's going to be non-stop because it's absolutely one of the worst films I've seen in recent years and I still have a huge hatred for it. Maybe I'm going to be saying it again in the next one when it comes to films I hate or stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jon Voight or the director who directed it. I don't know, we'll have to wait and see. But when it comes to Mercy however, this is the prime example of bad movies but did not get p***ed off about it thankfully. Two years ago, Michelle's husband Jeffrey died in a bomb explosion in front of her while serving in Afghanistan. She now works as a casualty surgeon at Mercy Hospital, and lives with her son Bobby. Meanwhile, FBI agents have arrested Ryan Quinn, a member of the Irish mob the Quinn Gang Brotherhood. His brother Sean and father Patrick "Paddy" played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Jon Voight, and family are responsible for committing a series of crimes in the United States. While bringing Ryan into custody, Sean and his henchmen ambush the convoy, killing most of the agents. After the ambush, they go to the hospital to get Ryan out. As they arrive, they kill the receptionist and take the visitors and staff hostage, while Michelle hides her son in the locker. Despite that this film didn't p*** me off as I thought it would, it still change the fact that I got bored watching it knowing how boring it would be considering how badly rated this and others are. And just for the fact that Jon Voight is in it, he still gives a bad performance as an Irish man, who sounds like he is from England but he isn't. He even cuts somebody's ear off for not doing what he's told. Also, when Jonathan Rhys Meyers calls someone idiot like he actually said "eejit" like come on, Jonathan. Are you trying to sound like Yosemite Sam? Come on! "I hate that rabbit!" While Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jon Voight still starring crappy films I've not seen as I'm writing this review, Mercy is still a boring action film with nothing to offer. So with that being said, I'm gonna be staying far away from this one as quickly as possible. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/30/25 Full Review Yuan J Mercy is currently one of the Top 10 movies on Netflix in the Philippines this month, so I gave it a shot—but honestly, I was really disappointed. The plot was just too predictable. You can pretty much tell what’s going to happen next, which completely kills the suspense. The acting? Not impressive at all. Aside from Jon Voight, whose performance was decent, the rest of the cast just didn’t deliver. The production value also felt cheap and rushed. I kept hoping it would get better, but it never did. It’s hard to believe this made it into the Top 10. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/25 Full Review Lani R Die Hard on a budget… no, honestly, worse than that. I will never get that hour of my life back (I say an hour as I ff certain bits of the film to make me feel better about continuing to watch it). Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Email S Mark Masterton is an upcoming actor and it's great to see him getting more screen time, The plot was predictable and the salute on the roof top was truly woeful.
