Matthew P. S @Logicalrealist Dec 10 This is really bad movie. The writers did not incorporate any creative thought and did not even do any research. To start a 60 mile wide meteor headed to earth the top scientists are driving a 1980s bronco over 100 miles. In reality the Mexican and American governments would have arranged a helicopter to pick them up within 30 minutes. So the dramatized drive was stupid and pointless. Plus it was filled drama from on 3rd grade level. Second the evacuation the national guard on sends a few trucks. In reality they would have fleats of truck and would commandeer all commercial and private busses and trucks needed. And would never operate on a first come first serve basis. Third all area hospitals would also be evacuated and if the needed drugs or medication all it would take is a phone call to restock. Finally the U.S. Military would never fire missiles frivolous over populated area. Also a meteor exploding in the would be 100 times more devastating than with a direct impact. Not only is this a cheap rip-off of older movies.There's no Fresh ideas. The character Imogene must be the most stupid individual on planet earth. Not to mention the absolute most unlucky. The actress is terrible , but she had nothing to work with. Jason alexander is horrible in this. Christopher lloyd is the only one who was any good because he got killed before he could be bad.
