georg P @RT99045822 3h Mexicali is a through and through wonderfully acted, straight forward neo western action movie with a wonderful love story and a dark but sympathetic hero in its center. The story is straight forward and the film holds the pace and tension throughout. And something you can’t always say of action films that you watch for fights and action… it’s just a very well acted good movie!!! As for the action… while this is no 30min fight scene martial arts epic like life after fighting (which it’s also not going for) Bren Foster continues to be the special effect that this genre needs! He shows so many different martial arts on a completely different level.. it’s just mindblowing! This is not acrobatic and tricking out in generic fights.. or an actor trying to mimic Filipino Kali through choppy edits or another actor trying to mimic grappling after a crash course… No this is high level mastery of several different arts and it shows in every fight scene and it’s just art in itself and beautiful! See more KIM J @ClarkKin 6h Mexicali delivers exactly what an action-drama should: grit, intensity, and heart. Bren Foster is outstanding, bringing incredible martial arts skill and a powerful dramatic performance that carries the film from start to finish. The fight choreography is sharp and realistic, and the story keeps you invested the whole way through. With strong direction and a compelling cast, Mexicali is a thrilling ride that action fans shouldn’t miss. See more Timothy E @Tnice17 16h Kristopher Van Varenberg OMG! GREAT actor. This is my first time seeing Van damme's son in a movie. I have to say he is good as his father. Good movie good action. See more Films B @RT53988779 1d Mexicali delivers everything a great action drama should — intensity, emotion, and authentic martial arts. Bren Foster is outstanding in the lead role, bringing both physical power and real dramatic depth to the character. His fight scenes are fast, raw, and incredibly well executed, but what really stands out is how much heart he brings to the performance. The director deserves major credit for creating such a gripping and stylish film. The pacing keeps you invested the entire time, and the atmosphere of the film feels gritty, cinematic, and immersive. Every scene feels purposeful, building tension and making the action feel meaningful rather than just spectacle. With powerful performances, excellent direction, and authentic action, Mexicali stands out as a thrilling and memorable film. Bren Foster proves he’s not only a world-class martial artist but also a compelling dramatic actor. A must-watch for action fans. See more Read all reviews
