Mob-connected Miami lawyer Ray Sheridan (Alan Napier) is pulling strings within the state government to ensure that gambling becomes legal in Florida, and that he'll have power over the whole industry when it does. Detective Lt. Scott (Lee J. Cobb) has been after Sheridan for some time, trying to expose him as the head of a large-scale racketeering operation, and when Sheridan has a cop who was a close friend of Scott's killed, the detective vows to take down the crooked attorney any way he can.

Audience Member Saw this on TV last night, not the best way to watch a movie, but it wasn't that bad. Cobb is great as always. This movie is somewhat sensational, but it is entertaining, and action packed. It was more than I expected from the late 50s. I would like to see it again sometime.
