Fabrizio A Being the first time the Sensational Six are fully animated in CGI, it's understandable why the animation hasn't aged well. But what I didn't like about this sequel is the inconsistency in quality of the singular shorts. Some of them were too corny and "Donald's Gift" felt too mean-spirited in particular. It's not the animation, but it's the story for me that puts this sequels MUCH inferior to its predecessor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review matthias s *Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas* is a charming, fun watch, perfect for the holiday season. The switch to CGI animation is interesting but loses some of that classic Disney magic. As a Disney fan, I still enjoyed the lovely Christmas stories—it’s lighthearted, cheerful, and great for kids, though adults can have fun too. Each segment brings a festive vibe and a sprinkle of humor, making it feel like cozy holiday comfort food. If it had stuck to the traditional animation style, I’d bump it up to 4 stars. Still, it’s a sweet little treat for fans of all ages! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Daniel Q Thats a wrong 3d animation, its trash Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Dale R Released by DisneyToon Studios straight to home video, this movie features five shorts with a Christmas theme. The first is a jealous skating duel between Minnie and Daisy; the second is about Huey, Dewey, and Louie trying to cheat their way onto Santa’s good list; the third is about a college aged Max bringing home a girl only to be embarrassed by his father Goofy, the fourth is about Donald finding some hot chocolate, and the fifth is about Pluto running away to the North Pole. This is the first time we see Mickey and the gang in computer animation, and it shows Disney’s lack of experience in this medium. The character’s mouths do not move to the words they are saying, the particle animation is terrible, and sometimes the side characters look better than the main characters. The voice actors, who have been doing these characters for years, all do a great job with what they are given. However, what they are given seems to be way off character for several of these shorts. Daisy being jealous of Minnie seems way out of character, the triplets causing trouble for anyone except Donald seems out of character, Pluto running away from Mickey is also way out of character. The Donald short is confusing and lacks any kind of character arc like it wants to have. I kind of enjoyed the Max and Goofy short, but the girl he brought home wasn’t Roxanne from A Goofy Movie, so I didn’t care about her. This might entertain the little ones during the holiday season, but not really worth a watch otherwise.
