Sonja O'Hara, won best director at LAFF, her film has good performances, a couple of good jumps and the premise that the real scary movie happened in the 60s where man ruled, woman obeyed and past that everything was permissible. {Full review in Spanish]

This could've been a decent movie. But it is poorly written. You can see the flashes of a good movie. It is just disjointed sequences that have no narrative through line. Good actors good cinematography. It had the makings of a good thriller. Maybe a quality script doctor could've punched it up.

Mid-Century is a fun throwback watch for the Halloween season. It gives vibes of Hitchcock and 1950s paranormal thrillers, with modern day issues like #MeToo and COVID-19 brought to the surface. Chelsea Gilligan and Sarah Hay shine, and Stephen Lang hams it up with a delightfully morbid performance. It's definitely worth a watch if you like ghost stories with some twists and turns.

omg, I never do this but this film was sic. didn't know what to expect but my mom loves a walk to remember and we watched this together last night. I came in when the guy was in the pool with the ghost and made my mom go back to the beginning. . I usually know what's going to happen with these horror movies but this hits different. seriously don't know how they came up with this. stick with it for the straight fire ending.
