[Mike's Murder] is probably the most original and daring effort by the writer-director James Bridges, and it has two superb performances -- a full-scale starring one by Winger, and a brief intense one by Paul Winfield. Go to Full Review

Much more than just a mystery movie, these male-female conflicts make Mike's Murder an all-American sexual thriller. Go to Full Review

Stoner J @Stoner Jul 26 While I wish the noir portion of the movie was longer than the initial (and most of the first half) part of it, which isn’t really a crime, sex, or thrill related movie but it’s definitely worth the watch for Winger’s second half of the film See more Steve D 08/24/2023 I don't get the character's motivations. Winger is great the film is not. See more 03/24/2017 Compelling due to Debra Winger's committed performance. See more 04/30/2011 Bank teller Betty (Debra Winger) is in love with erratic Mike (Mark Keyloun). One day, she's told he's been killed - and that there's much more to him than she realized. Slow pacing and a somewhat stilted tone make this mystery increasingly difficult to watch. Director Bridges lays out the world of drugs so methodically, you'd think this film had been made ten years earlier. Ms. Winger is appealing, but it's a bit puzzling why she doesn't become truly entangled in the plot well before the final quarter. See more Read all reviews
