Jeff M Without giving too much away, this movie had the potential to be not only really sleazy but borderline offensive. I was very concerned after the film's opening moments - let me just say it starts off with a group of children in a gynecologist's office, and I'll leave it at that. But while I can't in all good conscience give this a recommendation, it really wasn't half bad. I had never heard of this movie before, but I was spending the weekend with my niece and her family and we were talking about horror movies for Halloween, and she remembered this from a long time ago. She said it was horrible but fun. I wouldn't even call it horrible. A lot of it doesn't make a lick of sense, and the filmmakers don't even try to answer the obvious questions. But it is more suspense than gore, the image of a small boy in a yellow raincoat does indeed become eerie after awhile, and Jostyn makes a game and endearing protagonist. It certainly doesn't re-invent the wheel of the horror genre, and I'll probably forgot that I even saw it after next Tuesday, but my attention didn't wane and I wasn't repulsed, so that's a good deal more than I can say for a lot of other movies, particularly in this genre. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review Audience Member Four young girls have just watched an innocent game turn into the murder of their classmate, the very strange Milo Jeeder. And yet sixteen ears later, the four come to a reunion where Milo remains the same age, even as they've grown up and moved away. Great set-up, nice appearances by Vincent Schiavelli and Antonio Fargas, but otherwise a movie that takes its plot from Sometimes They Come Back Again and its tagline — "Remember, Jason and Freddy were kids once, too" — from Mikey. Then again, how many movies are about a fetus that survived an abortion? Oh, you know, other than Hanger and The Suckling. Man, I really need to get outside and start talking to people.
