Enjoyably offbeat, this Greek action-fantasy infuses a present-day legend with a witty sense of humour and a surreal queer sensibility. Go to Full Review

It may take its time in getting itself going, but once Minore kicks into gear, it becomes something special. If you are after a film with some ingenious special effects that is also a lot of fun, then Minore is the film for you Go to Full Review

Bridging past and present, then setting fire to the bridge, is Konstantinos Koutsoliotas' Minore...it may not quite have the finesse to ace its gambits, but you have to admire the sheer chutzpah of the attempt. Go to Full Review

Thea C Oct 23 SPOILERS: this is basically no budget kpop demon hunters with some people in a little greek seaside town. a man has ventured to town to find his deadbeat dad Nicodemus, who seems connected to the spiritual realm and secretly (mostly?) keeps the monster at bay with music. it's slow, meandering, and largely symbolic, and some things are executed better than others. most of the monster scenes are sort of frenzied group pseudo-improv with some core points to hit, and aren't really supposed to make sense. it's also like, the people in the town somehow don't realize folks are gettin murdered for way too long. but that's okay because the point is to cultivate a vibe, there are a lot of little vibe-cultivating details. there is a lot of dancing (a lot of the time it is like, one of various men with long brown locks really feeling the music and going where it takes him) and music and fun cheesy practical effects. epic conclusion. See more Matthew P Oct 6 35 minutes in setting up a bunch of quirky characters that only begin to take on creatures that appear 67 minutes into the movie represents poor structure... Apart from that, the emphasis on comedy (such as it is) at the expense of whatever 'horror' this can muster means this is not re-watchable... See more Read all reviews
