Kathi Maio The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction ...sweet and saucy, disrupting and enlivening the staid existence of the middle-aged men (Griffith Jones) who discover her. Played for comedy, it was mermaid as mid-life crisis... Mar 5, 2020 Full Review MFB Critics Monthly Film Bulletin Here is a pleasant little comedy which brings a welcome change of temper to the contemporary British screen. Feb 6, 2018 Full Review John J. Puccio Movie Metropolis ...all very light and frothy fun, with none of it very memorable but all of it reasonably pleasant. nick s Quaint little mermaid movie. Didn't reach any great heights but delivered an interesting tail. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Frances H As a child I loved seeing this cute British comedy about the lovely mermaid who charmed all of the men with whom she came into contact . Later, Glynis Johns and David Tomlinson would star in another charming movie--Disney's Mary Poppins. Both were favorites! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/06/18 Full Review Audience Member Whimsical and a little bit daring for its day. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member ...a charming bit of fluff, thanks to the efforts of an accomplished British cast. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member another fishy rom-com about a lady with a tail (mermaid). Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Charming bit of whimsy with a bewitching Glynis Johns, a droll Googie Withers and a delightfully addled Margaret Rutherford. It's all a bit of silliness but suspend your disbelief and go along for a most enjoyable ride. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
