Snow White (Lily Collins), an orphaned princess, is the rightful ruler of her kingdom, but a jealous, evil queen (Julia Roberts) schemes to gain control. When a charming prince (Armie Hammer) spurns the queen in favor of Snow White, she has the princess thrown into the woods to be devoured by a fearsome beast. Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White vows to take back her realm from the treacherous queen and, with the help of her small rescuers, roars into action.

Tarsem Singh did good in bringing this one to screen. Different take does wonders to the tale. Visually stunning. Whole cast very convincing in character. Great cinematography and beautifully written. Seems more "realistic" than any other iteration of the classic, highly recommended

Mirror Mirror (2012) is hands-down the better Snow White movie, especially compared to Disney’s 2025 live-action remake. It kept the heart of the original story—evil queen, poisoned apple, charming prince—while adding actual personality, humor, and vibrant style. Lily Collins’ Snow White has a real arc and agency without stripping away the romance, and Julia Roberts’ queen is hilariously iconic, not just evil for evil’s sake. The music (hello, that Bollywood dance number) and clever comedy made the whole film feel fresh and fun, unlike the 2025 version that felt dull, overly serious, and tried so hard to be "modern" that it forgot to actually be entertaining. Mirror Mirror proves you can update a fairy tale without draining it of joy, color, or charm.

Okay, finally got to write a review for this. This has been a childhood favorite of mine. After watching the new 'Snow White' movie... i rather watch this is closest to the tale but also the dwarfs are their own characters and not CGI, and there is great character design.

The film is undeniably gorgeous and it has some funny jokes but the film’s cast ranged from pretty good to miscasted star power and it doesn’t do much to mix up the Snow White story but it isn’t the worst adaptation out there
