Swift has clearly felt that pressure — to be young and relatable and relevant — throughout her career, but it’s certainly not unique to her experience. Go to Full Review

I think there this movie has a lot of interesting things to say about fame, interesting things to say about how women are conditioned to be good and be nice and not make waves and get the approval of other people. Go to Full Review

There's a lot to like in Taylor Swift: Miss Americana, especially for the girls who make up much of her international fan base. Swift talks directly to them. Go to Full Review

What struck me was how messy the film was. When one asks what the film is, it has no concrete answer until the final portion where it gets undeniably raw and important. Go to Full Review

Waverley F @Waverleyfarmer Dec 11 Ms. Americana gives us all a rare glimpse into the real life Taylor Swift and what it’s really like to be a global celebrity. We get to see her experience behind the scenes of her concerts, breaking into politics, writing her hit songs and overcoming an eating disorder. To see the struggles she goes through and how she still has to put on a mask to the world and perform through it gives me more appreciation for not only Taylor, but all public figures who have to balance their personal lives with the demand from fans and the world. A must watch for swifties and non-swifties alike. See more Estrella M @EstrellaMagana Dec 10 Miss Americana offers a more personal and honest look at Taylor Swift that goes beyond her public image. The documentary follows Swift as she navigates fame, public expectations, and the pressure to stay silent on political and social issues. What makes this film engaging is how relatable her struggles feel, especially for women who are expected to be likable and agreeable at all times. Watching her grow into using her voice is both emotional and empowering without feeling forced or dramatic. This film is worth watching if you enjoy character-driven documentaries and are interested in seeing how fame, identity, and self-expression intersect. Overall, it’s a thoughtful and inspiring watch that leaves you reflecting on the cost of staying silent. This movie really surprised me. I thought this film was just going to be just another documentary like the “OLIVIA RODRIGO: DRIVING HOME 2 U (A SOUR FILM)” on Disney+, but it wasn't..it was better. This film manages to keep you engaged meanwhile telling a depressing yet inspiring tale about the journey of Taylor Swift's life, and how people, fans, and government officials affect Swift’s life both negatively and positively, really helping you to understand what it is to be a celebrity. Not only that, but this film doesn’t even feel like a documentary at times, due to the structure of the storytelling, and at certain parts of the film it feels like a coming-of-age story, especially because it touches on important ideals and important morals that Taylor Swift learns over the course of the film, that anyone could apply to their life. On top of that this film uses many good songs that Taylor has made, but still leaves out some of the overplayed ones that everyone knows. Truly, this film is a masterpiece both by a documentary stand point, and by a coming-of-age film stand point. 10/10. See more Artur A @arturalcantara Jul 29 PERFEITO MDSSSSSSS.
