ashley h Miss Annie Rooney is an okay film. It is about a poor girl who falls for a wealthy young man. Shirley Temple and William Gargan give decent performances. The script is a little slow in places. Edwin L. Marin did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and romance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I love all of Shirley Temples movies one of my favorite movies is kiss and tell. this one is a cute kinda Cinderella story. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute film starring Dickie Moore and Shirley Temple fresh out of their single digit years. Both were movie veterans by the time this film was shot with literally dozens of films between them. The movie is probably best known for Temples first adult onscreen kiss. Not a must-see, but still worth it's running time for a rainy afternoon escape to the past. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member WWII diversion in this light com-dram also Temple's first grown-up role Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Somewhat obnoxious comedy, Gargan in particular is hard to take, with Shirley moving into teenhood. She's been better elsewhere and the story is one big cliche after another. Guy Kibbee is good but he's about the only redeeming feature this has. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It's like a Disney Channel movie for the 40's. It's so chock full of lingo from the period, I can't make heads or tails of what anyone's saying. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
