It’s sad and funny, unexpected and beautifully observed. Go to Full Review

“Miss You, Love You” is a small film in scope, hence the bypassing of theaters for distribution on TV, but not in emotional payoff, as Diane and Jamie wrestle with a complex brew of resentment, recognition and, finally, forgiveness. Go to Full Review

A virtual two-hander, “Miss You, Love You” is a rare accomplishment -- just enough of a good thing. Go to Full Review

As a two-hander built on dramatic and awkward energy, it works well enough. Go to Full Review

I adore this. Janney is sublime, and Rannells is rarely asked to be this honest in a film. Go to Full Review

Sinnjin T @Sinnjin2025 Jul 3 Miss You, Love You snuck up on me. I sat down expecting a drama and got a gut punch wrapped in dark humor — a story about grief, estrangement, and the strangers who sometimes see us more clearly than family ever could. I won't spoil a thing; this one is best experienced knowing as little as possible. What I will tell you is what it did to me: when the credits rolled, I dried my eyes, picked up my phone, and called my mother. Then I got in the car and drove to see her. Whether that was guilt, love, or some cocktail of both is between me and my therapist — but a movie that moves you off the couch to go hold someone you love is doing something very right. Allison Janney is a force of nature — blunt, bruised, achingly human — and Andrew Rannells more than holds his own. One gripe: there is a son in this film, and the audacity of that fictional human nearly broke me. If you've seen it, you know. 4 out of 5 stars. The missing point goes entirely to that son. He knows what he did. See more Dave J @ccodave Jun 27 I was enthralled with this movie! I have to watch it again to better understand its depth of emotions and relationships. (I shed a few tears) So well done and for me, an unexpected, yet satisfying ending! Oh, and wonderful performances from Allison Janney and Andrew Rannells. This would make a good play for the stage. See more Tucker B. @Tuckerb Jun 27 This movie elicits every stage of grief. You will be pulled into a feeling of loss while leaving you with an understanding that it is and will be okay even if it is not the same or as you imagined. Powerful acting. See more Eric O. @Eric63 Jun 18 Compelling performances by the leads and an engaging portrayal of two strangers working through their unresolved grief involving the same person. One of the best films I’ve seen in a while. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life Jun 16 An amazing simple movie about a mother and a strangers time together planning her husband's funeral. The deep conversations they have about love, grief and relationships. The secrets and feelings released while in the same house is so heartbreaking and done so well. Janney and Rannells both gave great performances and deserve Oscar nominations. Tim Treakle See more Meri S. @mschroeder Jun 16 Top notch acting with a very human story. See more Read all reviews
