Taken strictly as a Cinemax-grade potboiler, "Missionary" is often a hoot, and more effective than it has any right to be. Go to Full Review

This lean thriller deftly shows how the fervency needed to wholly embrace any one belief or institution can, if unchecked, yield dire consequences. Go to Full Review

Everything is rushed, it becomes hypercritical and lacking suspense. It wants to be Fatal Attraction with a religious element but instead it becomes a Lifetime movie. See more 11/04/2014 Man falls in love with a woman who doesn't really want to pursue a relationship except this time the man who goes a bit crazy happens to a Mormon missionary. Anthony DiBlasi's Missionary doesn't have much going for it but the lead performances from Dawn Olivieri and newcomer Mitch Ryan are good and Ryan has great onscreen presence which will likely bode well for him in future projects. I just hope they're better than this one. See more Read all reviews
