Laura Joy R ML (2018) Starts with a story about a reitred colonel (Eddie Garcia) and a college student who believes that martial law is not awful and sees the good about it, when their professor gave them an assignment to interview people who is alive during martial law until now. Carlo (Tony Labrusca) visited the colonel's home to conduct an interview, not knowing what would happen to him. In the movie he was tortured a lot and was being asked if his part of the "movement" which if his doing things such actions to be part of a communism whatnot, and soon his friends was abducted and tortured as well (one of them died). I would say the plot is very good, and since Carlo doesn't know about the darkness about the Martial Law during the Marcos' Era it was expected he was gonna have a firsthand experience. some tortured devices they used in the movie was the same ones that is discussed in some books and other resources. It's good and fun movie Im no expert but its worth the try. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews
