Clare Martin Paste Magazine There’s an irresistible geniality to Amer, but he keeps getting in his own way throughout Mohammed in Texas. Here’s hoping that changes in the future as Amer’s star rises. Rated: 6.9/10 Mar 22, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

yash b I thoroughly enjoyed Mo Amer's comedy special "The Vagabond" and after watching it I made sure I kept up with any future specials he would make. While I don't feel this one is quite as good, it is still a fun time and it gets better toward the last half. The jokes don't all land but Amer's perspective is still interesting and enjoyable and I think he has a charismatic stage presence. Overall, I am looking forward to seeing what he does next and had fun with this comedy special. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this special so much! Mo provides a unique and hysterical perspective on the pandemic, divorce, as well as the linguistic differences of curse words. This special is love letter to his adopted hometown of Houston (and SWAT, South West Alief Texas), but he doesn't forget where he came from. Stick around until the end of the special where he shares a moving story about his return trip to Palestine. I look forward to watching Mo's future projects.
