Liam D A Crime Drama with the seriousness of an SNL sketch this is a movie with a great cast and an interesting story wasted Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Audience Member I love mob films. But waiting for action and I was disappointed. The cars are cool but don't match up. Satire, boring script. A man waving his arms around buying pork chops and screaming. Just did not build up to anything. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a better than average movie. David Arcet(?) was surprisingly And pleasantly good. I had forgotten he still works. It's always a pleasure to watch Jennifer Esposito. No, she's not the best actress but she's attractive in many ways. Some of the secondary players are hammy but the hotel girl more than makes up for them. The movie does leave us hanging at the end with too many unanswered questions. Oh well. If you like Mafia, police, 1950s era, light drama, Italian centric, or crime history, you'll probably enjoy this movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the best Mob movie ... Not the worse either ... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/24/20 Full Review Audience Member Oh man, I rented this one. Great cast but this seriously is a mob movie for Lifetime or the Hallmark channel. No exaggeration. And I'm not one to usually be disappointed or critical. Love Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Jennifer Esposito and liked their characters and thought since they were in it and it was based on historical events and characters in the 1950's that it would be a decent mafia film, but aside from cussing, a couple very brief killings and a couple of kisses, this R rated movie had nothing and could easily have been rated PG. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a slow burning mob drama that is well written and acted. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times In "Mob Town," the cast's definitely got the goods, but the writing and direction consistently fail to seal the deal. Dec 13, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Plays like a mediocre B-movie that inexplicably got lost for decades. Dec 12, 2019 Full Review Nick Schager Variety Clumsy in every respect, it's an offer even die-hard genre fans will find easy to refuse. Dec 12, 2019 Full Review Michael Frank Film Inquiry Mobtown lives in a space of mediocrity, never too horrible or uninteresting to turn off and never good enough for you to be happy to be watching. Jan 12, 2020 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue A quick Google search will provide more historical insight than the screenplay, which is hampered by wooden dialogue and narrative clichés. Worse, it looks as cheap as it sounds. Dec 13, 2019 Full Review Peter Sobczynski eFilmCritic.com I can't really recommend Mob Town since it doesn't really live up to the promise of its premise. However, if you are in the mood for a film of this type and you have already watched The Irishman a couple of times, I suppose you could do worse. Dec 13, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
