Hathaway features stunning animation, with gorgeous visuals that bring Earth to a far, far away future, a great use of CG that is never distracting, and the thrilling sounds of Hiroyuki Sawano to make the action and emotions hit ten times harder.

Not your usual Gundam. Mature (for this kind of thing), complex, restrained, and thrilling for it. The Gundam Andor. And it works as a stand alone. Looking forward to more in the same vein.

a must watch for any Gundam fan, and i can see it doing incredibly well as a standalone film for anyone unfamiliar with the franchise. highly recommend.

Another amazing entry for the U.C, even though is not a close story, is a really good introduction to the character and the state of the world after, char's counterattack and unicorn, a problem that some people may have is the fact that the events in unicorn are ignored, but for me, that something great. Yeah, the Hathaway novel was before unicorn, but as seen in the unicorn anime, maybe the people wasn't ready for a revelation like that, plus the federation wants to make the newtype disappear from history. so, in my opinion, this movie connects really good with the rest of the animated canon and also have some deep characters, even though it has like 1 or 2 fights, as a gundam entry works
