Comic book artist and animator Bill Plympton gathers his best-known short films in this anthology. The films, many of which were most widely viewed on MTV in the late 1980s and early '90s, feature Plympton's signature style: They are hand-drawn in colored pencils and roughly animated, so that the figures morph continuously on the screen. Along with rarely seen early works like "Boomtown," co-written by Jules Feiffer, the film also includes interview footage with the artist.
