Udita Jhunjhunwala Livemint Foster deftly handles tonal shifts between humour, satire and comment to deliver a timely and thrilling entertainer. Aug 15, 2019 Full Review Nigel Andrews Financial Times The yammer and righteousness defeat Clooney and even Julia Roberts, stuck at a console twitching knobs and micromanaging frowns as the producer trying to hold the show together. Rated: 2/5 Dec 30, 2016 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com There's a great moment near the end where she literally turns the camera on the audience itself, breaking the fourth wall in a way that is eerie and striking. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 9, 2016 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review For a hostage thriller that wants its audience to ponder Wall Street's crimes, Money Monster's message feels muddled, and the film remains far too dismissible after it's over. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 15, 2022 Full Review Nikki Baughan AWFJ.org A cracking cast, together with a tense screenplay and strong direction from Foster make for an early summer must-see with brains as well as brawn. Sep 29, 2021 Full Review Kip Mooney College Movie Review While the movie strains the limits of believability in its third act, it's still entertaining throughout and finds plenty of dark laughs in the tension. DJFIREBOT 7 amazing movie i share it with everyone and they all like it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Dave C I find it bizarre that this rides 50%(ish) across the ratings board. It is a commentary on socioeconomic inequalities, and the anger flowing as a result, leading a person to take aggressive, affirmative action in the hope they can balance the scales. Whilst there are threads of mediocrity, these aren't in the performances. GC, JR, and JO'C all deliver in spades in that regard, and hold the writing to a high standard in bringing something taut and intriguing to our screens Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review Carlos T Filme: Jogo do Dinheiro Assistido: 14-7-24 Elenco: @georgeclooney.official_ @george_clooney @juliaroberts @jackoconnellove @caitrionabalfe @dominicwestfanpage @chrisbauer3 @thegiancarloesposito Modelo: #suspense #drama #investimentos Duração: 1h 39m Ano: 2016 Minha opinião: Um dos melhores filmes com a atuação de Julia Roberts, George Clooner. Roteiro e enredo bom roteiro. Vale apena assistir? Com certeza indico. Nota: 8,5 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/15/24 Full Review John A More concerned with being a thriller than a piece of absorbing sobering commentary. The cast is solid, the editing is punchy but I'm sure it will evaporate from you on an intellectual/artistic level. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Nathan W Looks like we have mixed reviews on both sides here, but I thought it was pretty good. There weren't really any big name cast members, besides Julia Roberts and George Clooney, and I wouldn't say their performances were anything special. (They did get better as time went on, but somewhat flat in the early goings). The guy who played the hostage taker was great though, even though I've never seen him in anything before. (He brought a lot of intensity and relatability to the role, which is important later). I thought the whole production suffered from a lack of urgency or believability. People who were intimately involved in the plot were as cool as can be, despite the obvious danger, and everyone watching on TV seemed completely unphased by what was happening. It just didn't feel as tense as it was supposed to. But what I really like about it was the story. At around the halfway mark, it transformed into a very different kind of movie. Our character went from a hostage taker, to a likable and relatable everyman that we can't help feeling a little bad for. From generic hostage flick, to a narrative on corporate greed and the lack of accountability in the financial world. (How they don't care who they hurt as long as they keep making money). To that effect though, things still happened too easily and in ways that weren't totally believable. But execution problems aside, a powerful message and an interesting enough story is still a win in my book. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/24 Full Review Emilliano Jr S A forgetful ensemble cast, director thriller. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
