Jesse Hassenger Decider But with so much left unclear, the filmmakers also place an undue burden on their subjects, and leave their viewers fascinated while also wandering in the dark. Ricardo d chato, demorado, cansativo e forçado Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review D K 2 and 1/2 stars because it's exactly half a documentary. You're telling me they couldn't find one person to present the other side of the story? It's obvious that the subject of a hit piece is not going to participate for legal reasons. He definitely is creepy, weird, and I'd use other choice words that would probably get me flagged. However, that's not really the end of the obligation for bias control just because you have a serious case of the ick. This person should never handle another controversial topic again. A good controversial topic documentary should make people feel uncomfortable defending either side or better yet, recognize some merits of both sides (but alas our society is not trending in that direction). Also, the guy that started the facebook group just seems mad because he showed up and wanted to piss everyone off. He shouldn't have been part of the conversation, but the directors clearly wanted to do some cheap revenge ploy. They clearly sent him packing for being an asshat instead of getting violent on him, which actually shows the opposite of the documentary's narrative. His clown show somewhat detracted from the trauma that other victims seem to have taken from the tour. Then, he admits to hacking someone else's email (which I think is a felony) and gets mad when an army of internet trolls takes on his army of internet trolls going after his own information. Disclaimer: I am not in this Mikamey guy's cult of followers that are mentioned in the movie. I found out about this guy for this first time from watching this "documentary". He's a freak and so are his followers and his mental patient tourists. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Jodi C This one completely misses. There's not enough of the controversy explained. There are a few YouTube's that get to the bottom of MM better than this doc. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/16/23 Full Review E M There's certain acceptable and commonly used practices and motifs of tension building within the documentary space. Pacing, music, lighting; all of these can lend to the naturally present tension in a stories progression. This documentary uses all of them poorly. The lighting and sets are garish and the treatment is tired and obvious in a way so absent of any art it's difficult to see how or where the money for this film was spent. The pacing and ads make this in essence a giant click-bate scheme. The topic is curious and intriguing. That's where the star is attained. The stars are lost in every other element. This was a waste of an evening and, in this viewer's opinion, should be avoided with the same ferociousness that the haunted house featured is warning against. Avoided in the same way that……THE FILM MAKERS AVOIDED IT. UGH. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/06/23 Full Review Ian Russ is a fraudster. Watch Reckless Ben on YouTube to see. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Intentionally L This film is IMPORTANT. For the first time, a few of the Victims-Survivors featured in this documentary have a voice beyond an Internet keyboard. There are MANY Victims-Survivors of Russ McKamey's Crimes: False Advertising, Illegal & Unethical Practices, Fraud, Internet Stalking, Intentional Acts of ABUSE & ASSAULT…The list is vast, numerous, and credible. It is long standing opinion by most who encounter him: Russ McKamey belongs UNDER any prison. Hopefully, this film will reopen the minds of every Authority (Yes, they were contacted previously and Victims-Survivors-Witnesses were dismissed or silenced by Russ McKamey's minions over the years) to issues subpoenas for ALL e-Discovery, charge, prosecute, convict and get Russ McKamey and his content OFF the Internet and get him into intensive behavioral health therapy and services.
