Daisy Leigh-Phippard Screen Queens Huh Jong-Hos monster movie has all the chronicled period traits you could want, he just throws a cool, potentially-non-existent tiger-monkey-beast into the mix with some cool sequences that feel closer to a video game than a film. jose raul b This action/fantasy movie has a very original plot mixed with very good battle scenes set on the ancient chinesse context. A must see for asian culture lovers. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member MONSTRUM is a fantasy monster tale with blood, disease and sharp objects. The creature design is pretty solid, mashing together realistic cgi and traditional demonic styles. The setting in old world South Korea enhances the bizarre-ness. It's not a scary film but it takes place during the bubonic plague, where the plague is given monstrous form. Check your gag reflexes at the door. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review thomas m Brilliant monster movie from South Korea! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best creature movies I've seen in years. Awesome movie!
