Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) Director Mo Ali has an obvious flair for action -- but little instinct for story or characterisation. Rated: 2/5 Dec 12, 2014 Full Review Angie Errigo Empire Magazine Tougher than a box of nails, this is a brassy revenge thriller that refuses to pull its punches. Rated: 3/5 Dec 11, 2014 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Mikkelsen somehow retains a dour dignity, but co-star David is flimsy, as are the script, direction and most of the supporting cast of bent coppers and trigger-happy henchmen. Audience Member An absolutely wonderful movie about family crisis and reconciliation. I think that the actor and actress who played the brother and sister and the black actor who played the nurse all deserve Oscars. I have never seen a better movie. It was enthralling. The time seemed to go by in a flash because of the intensity of the spectacular acting. Plus, the beautiful backdrops of Montana added to my enjoyment of the movie, which was actually filmed in Montana for once. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Increasingly dull crime drama that attempts to be deep and meaningful, but never reaches the heights it needs to with this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A Serbian ex special forces recruits a young kid off the estate to bring down a common enemy Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Growing up at the will of my three brothers, I spent my childhood at every action movie opening not to mention had it on repeat for months afterwards. Montana is a blend of all the classics. With cinematography like The Matrix, fight sequences out of The Last Samurai and several dark Batman-esque storylines. I totally recommend this for action movie lovers it's pure kick-ass entertainment. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Today was my brother's turn to pick the movie and he chose "Montana". At first I was a little hesitant to watch the movie, but I am so glad I did! I love that the movie was set in London and everyone had authentic accents. Not only was the acting great, the script and the music brought it to the next level. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone looking for a movie that leaves you wanting more. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Being a big fan of the cult class, Karate Kid I'm always searching for a new action film with a deeper meaning sewn throughout the story line. That's why I'm super excited about Montana because it embodied not only the violent, gang fight aspect but also shed light on the unique relationship between Montana (McKell David) and his mentor (Lars Mikkelson). My favorite aspect of the movie definitely was how Lars taught troubled Montana important life lessons and the true meaning and significance of respect, honor and love. I recommend this movie to anyone who's into action films! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
