Astronaut Sam Bell's (Sam Rockwell) three-year shift at a lunar mine is finally coming to an end, and he's looking forward to his reunion with his wife (Dominique McElligott) and young daughter. Suddenly, Sam's health takes a drastic turn for the worse. He suffers painful headaches and hallucinations, and almost has a fatal accident. He meets what appears to be a younger version of himself, possibly a clone. With time running out, Sam must solve the mystery before the company crew arrives.

Made with only a fraction of your average Star Wars or Marvel movie, but does so much with (relatively little). Sam Rockwell is just fantastic given that he’s largely in the film on his own. A tremendous sci-fi movie.

Brilliantly executed, fascinating, and involving sci-fi with a haunting score and an incredible performance by Sam Rockwell. He made it a genuinely moving journey. All in all, Moon definitely ranks among my most favorite sci-fi.

Not good as a whole. Set design is good, Sam Rockwell is good, story idea is fine. Just dull and not interesting in execution with almost no logic in anything. Unless you're a completist and just have to watch every Sam Rockwell movie, skip it. Normally I would give this two or three stars, but I felt I needed to go lower just to pointlessly try and offset all of the ridiculous 5-star ratings.

This is a clever film and Sam Rockwell is great. There are too many holes in it to get that extra star and I don't think I'll want to watch it over and over again, but good stuff nonetheless. Don't watch it late at night when you're half asleep - you would be in real danger of losing track of who was who. I think that's intentional though.

Didn't really know much about this film going in, all i knew was, it's a film with Sam Rockwell on the Moon which I was sold on immediately, however I came out the other end having watched a surprisingly sad and heartwarming story. Sam Rockwell gives what might be one of my favourite performances from his great catalogue of characters and i would encourage anyone interested in the film to go in with little knowledge on the films plot.
