Victoria Luxford BBC.com Made with only a fraction of your average Star Wars or Marvel movie, but does so much with (relatively little). Sam Rockwell is just fantastic given that he’s largely in the film on his own. A tremendous sci-fi movie. Slow, but there are so many details deserving attention, the chance to take them all in one only enhances the experience. Rated: 4/5 Aug 14, 2010 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Rockwell gives a matchless performance that demonstrates anger, depression, humor, sadness, frustration, desperation, and even mild insanity. Being in almost every frame, he captures the audience completely Rated: 4/4 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Wael Khairy The Cinephile Fix the film is rich with philosophical ideas grandeur in scope...it presents them in a tightly focused and efficiently structured psychological thriller Jul 5, 2023 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Essentially a one-man, two character piece, 'Moon' could be an old 'Twilight Zone' episode nurtured into a feature. a t This was recommended as one of "13 Vastly Underrated Sci-Fi Movies!" by Flick Connections on YouTube. As of writing this review, Moon has a 90% tomatometer and 89% popcornmeter, so I don't know about it being "vastly" underrated, but I certainly hadn't heard about it prior to Flick Connections' recommendation, despite frequently searching for good SciFi movies here. Moon is definitely not an action packed flick, but it is a really good, slow-burn, dystopian scifi mystery movie, with a thought provoking philosophical situation at its core. Sam Rockwell is simply superb! Kevin Spacey has always creeped me out, even more so after allegations of sexual misconduct, and that creep out factor works really well in this movie. The set, sound, lighting, costumes, & props are all top notch and work great for the story. While this won't be a movie that I watch over and over again, it's an easy to digest movie that I definitely recommend for any intellectual sci-fi fans and one which I'll probably watch at least once more. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review 3D W A beautiful movie. Definitely a must-see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Paul M Lonely, bleak, dusty, empty... But ultimately makes you feel human. Great acting by Sam Rockwell. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review Tomasz S This movie hits me like a train, each time i watch it. May not be for everyone, but for the ethical dillema alone it is worth watching. Sam Rockwell became my top 3 actors in the span of 90-or-so minutes. “That’s enough. I wanna go home” Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review Fer S It does not make any sense. As an aeronautics and aerospace engineer I know how these type of engineering projects work, and none of what happens in this movie is realistic. But I don't think you need an engineering title to see how there is no logic to what happens in this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Sams K Very existential movie! Great acting by Rockwell, great effects! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/31/24 Full Review Read all reviews
