john b 12/26/2024 Didn't seem like much happened, but the dreamlike scenery and music make you long for the slow life living on a river.Movie didn't have much of an ending, but still worth a watch.Mitchell slaggert makes great eye candy. It's also exceptionally well directed with glorious cinematography and numerous visual Easter eggs. This film was such a pleasant surprise. You experience it more than watch it. Endearing characters and beautiful, lush settings makes this film resonate well beyond the credits. I'm going to watch it again a bit stoned, as I feel it will add a layer to the experience. Visually rich, the backdrop is a small town with lots of secrets, and mysteries to solve. Daniel Peddle crafts each characters' story with dark Southern-gothic flair. The movie seems like it could have been filmed fifty years ago, but at the same time, rings true to our current times. Absolutely fascinating. A must see! I loved how visually it lingers on nature and colors with unexpected angles and cinematography adding to the emotional impact. It is truly a satisfying work of art.
