This is no failure, but a nice slice-of-life miniature that falls a bit short... Go to Full Review

[A] sluggish if earnestly authentic tale. Go to Full Review

It passes like a lazy afternoon spent gently high. There's not much this movie wants to accomplish, but it maintains a mood that sets the mind at ease. Go to Full Review

A lush, lyrical look at the "gothic" South, Juri Beythein's cinematography is breathtaking, dazzling with texture and depth as he captures the blue skies, silken waters and green grasses of the region, all laced with the shadows and weight of life. Go to Full Review

john b 12/26/2024 Didn't seem like much happened, but the dreamlike scenery and music make you long for the slow life living on a river.Movie didn't have much of an ending, but still worth a watch.Mitchell slaggert makes great eye candy. See more Gene K 09/28/2024 An astonishingly beautiful film. Surprisingly well acted, given the cast of unknowns. It's also exceptionally well directed with glorious cinematography and numerous visual Easter eggs. This film was such a pleasant surprise. You experience it more than watch it. Endearing characters and beautiful, lush settings makes this film resonate well beyond the credits. I'm going to watch it again a bit stoned, as I feel it will add a layer to the experience. See more Jane M 04/09/2024 A mind-blowing coming-of-age thriller of one young man's reconciliation of life's hardships and joys...so far. Visually rich, the backdrop is a small town with lots of secrets, and mysteries to solve. Daniel Peddle crafts each characters' story with dark Southern-gothic flair. The movie seems like it could have been filmed fifty years ago, but at the same time, rings true to our current times. Absolutely fascinating. A must see! See more 08/17/2020 I really enjoyed this subtle quiet story. The arc of the characters expressions and emotional resolution is beautiful and satisfying. I loved how visually it lingers on nature and colors with unexpected angles and cinematography adding to the emotional impact. It is truly a satisfying work of art.
