John K Feb 27 I not only liked the movie, I lived it as an EMT working for various commercial services in the 70's. I could relate to the greedy owners and rejects of society that seemed to be attracted to EMS. Plus it's the 70s so we'll do a MASH type sendup with ambulance drivers. The mess that is this movie has comedic moments that aren't quite funny and dramatic moments that are way too dark for a lighthearted film. See more 02/16/2013 This movie is fucking hysterical. There's not much to it. Two ambulance companies are duking it out in the most underhanded ways they can to become the #1 ambulance company in Los Angeles. Feels like Taxi meets Caddyshack. It's not as good as Caddyshack, but Larry Hagman and Bill Cosby playing foulmouthed ambulance drivers dropping some pretty fun banter is totally worth it. Smart and old school. Love it. See more 01/23/2013 I think I enjoyed this movie more years ago when I first saw it. Not a particularly deep movie, but it touches upon some interesting issues still present today.
