Sexy but unstable wife and mother Jude (Jamie Lee Curtis) walked out on her family three years ago. Now, just as suddenly, she is back. But her husband, Robert (Peter Gallagher), has fallen in love with Callie (Joanne Whalley-Kilmer), an assistant principal at his sons' school. He asks Jude for a divorce. This film is truly an underrated gem. It accurately depicts the traits and behaviour of a sociopath. If you're studying psychology and you take a course in sociopathy you might actually learn a lot. A lot of people calling this film dumb and nonsensical are usually people who do not understand the behaviours and actions of a sociopath. So if you're keen to learn a thing or two about sociopaths, pick up this film and give it a watch.

Is actually a neat little thriller that doesn't depend on gore or cheap scares. Curtis' character seems in step with 'at that time' a more confident Curtis as a serious actress. Aside from a few reviewers who apparently seemed to see another film and reviewed this one just to keep their 'super reviewer' active, one wonders...The film is recommended for those who like a good story, with a few twists in it.

Mom who abandoned her family attempts to re-establish relationships with her kids but makes life hell for her former husband and his serious girlfriend. Suspense builds in this one and Jamie Lee Curtis is pretty convincing as a woman who is unhinged. Husband may have second thoughts about moving on and not trying to stay together with estranged wife for the sake of the kids.

Jamie Lee returns after a second walkout to attempt to reclaim her family. Instead of going through legal channels, a desperate attempt is made to eliminate her husband's new girlfriend by manipulating the aid of her oldest (who must have inherited some of her genes) in the diabolical scheme. Will make anyone who hasn't been through a nasty divorce thankful.
