It is offensive, objectionable, very bloody and has no socially redeeming feature whatsoever, but its knowing sense of the ridiculous and its raw energy make it, paradoxically, a film to see and enjoy.

Mother's day is The Hills Have Eyes meets The Last House The Left meets The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in a holiday slasher with dark comedy and shockingly good violent make-up effects and Charles Kaufman did really good job directing a holiday slasher and the cast are terrific but the writing is a bit off for the characters and some jokes are good and others are like "huh" like we don't get the joke but I really fun and perfect to watch this holiday cult classic slasher for all mother's for their mother's day to enjoy.

On the surface it seems like a D-Grade slasher film, but it's really rather brilliant. It's fun, blends heinous acts with absurd humor and still has time to be an biting social satire with fully developed, interesting characters and interactions.
