      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Arguably well-intended yet thoroughly misguided, Mother's Day is the cinematic equivalent of a last-minute gift that only underscores its embarrassing lack of effort.

Miss L Combining like 10 different storylines that are unrelated. Single dumbest movie I've had the displeasure of watching. Littered with cliche bs stereotypes that would only be humorous to someone with a mental deficit, as the scriptwriters clearly were. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/24 Full Review John A A surprising lack of effort on display here. Think I'll skip Mother's Day this year. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review Denise B Kept dipping in and out of film tbh until I finally gave up. One star given for the casting director who managed to hoodwink some great actors into signing up to this bore fest. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review donnie m a lot of GREAT actors but this movie SUCKED! i did like Jennifer Anniston, she's a good actress but underrated, i think AND-what's with that hairdo on the BEAUTIFUL Julia Roberts? and finally-seems they tried to put one of each category of people on the planet Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review John B It was ok overall with some touching family moments about mothers, but a cast for comedy like this, I was expecting a bit more. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/23 Full Review Alexa Ring I love this movie! I know people are hard about the blatant racism in the movie, but the movie is meant to go against the old-fashioned racism and make fun of the racist grandparents. This movie is a personal fav! Sandy Cohen Associated Press Even if stars Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson are mom's all-time favorites, don't subject her to this cloying, plotless dose of saccharine unless she's done you wrong. Dec 30, 2016 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Mother's Day isn't just bad, it's an unforgivable blot on the cinematic landscape. The repellent Mother's Day has a surprising, distasteful, and shameful amount of both.
