The most commendable aspect of Motorrad is its ability to get crazier and more outlandish with every scene - yet not losing the audience (kind of, the old lady in front of me hated it). Its ability to slowly reveal exposition in creative ways - yet always creating more questions for the next death. It can drag a little at times, but I'll be damned the day someone watches this and is not at all phased or shocked by the plot development. (Watched it at 2017 TIFF)

Holy cow. What a strange, beautiful, suspenseful, brutal, fantastical, chase movie, and slasher flick? How all these pieces came together to form this bizarre kind of wonderful movie is beyond me but I guess we have Brazil's twisted freak minds to thank for that.

It's an original and daring movie. Kind of weird too. The only film entry to represent Brazil at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, "Motorrad" is an interesting choice if you look for ambiguity and metaphor in your slasher. I do.
