The directorial choice is to use animation in many instances, just to break up the interviews and archival footage... which is amusing enough. But what it all amounts to is a story of arrogance, strategic misrepresentation, and/or a massive scam.

MoviePass never came to mind besides a brief word-of-mouth amidst its final limitations stemming lesser interest, distant from its heyday whilst curiosity piques over the risen then fallen brief phenomenon. This passionately-lined documentary fascinates with answers, as well engages over the unexpected criminal aspect after decently though minimally clarify the business portioned stakes, stirring own critical questions then unveiling structurally financial flaws. (B+)

Such a well made documentary. Informative, shocking, fascinating characters, social commentary and surprisingly emotional. What the original founders of Moviepass had to go through - so great this doc shed light on their hero's journey. Very inspiring and satisfying ending too.
