Critics Consensus

Mr. Bean's Holiday means well, but good intentions can't withstand the 90 minutes of monotonous slapstick and tired, obvious gags.

Faiz D Mr. Bean's Holiday delivers some of the charm of the original series. It's worth a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review GABRIEL S the greatest comedy character in history Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/23/24 Full Review John H This is a very under-rated film. It's about the journey, not the destination. The ending is one of the most glorious moments in modern cinema. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review Toby G This is an enchanting film that retains and maintains traditions of both French and English cinema. Atkinson has said more than once that he drew inspiration from, among others, the physical frivolities of Jaques Tati, for instance. This is far FAR better than the horrendous Americanised monstrosity that was 1997's Bean. And yes, like any comedy, it is not for everyone. But for the young and the young at heart it is a very pleasant way to spend a 90 minutes, a short time in which they manage to squeeze in slapstick, love, bucolic idylls and, most importantly perhaps, a satisfying ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Leenadbhonsle B I loved this movie it is very nice movie and comedy also. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Jason R if you love the character of Mr Bean, you love this too, Mr Bean causes trouble everywhere he goes Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews
