Connie (Ricki Lake), unwed and pregnant, is heading to Boston by train when she meets wealthy newlyweds Hugh (Brendan Fraser) and Patricia (also Lake). The train crashes, and when Connie comes to in the hospital, she is mistaken for Patricia, who died in the crash with Hugh. Opting to play along, Connie gets in even deeper when she meets Hugh's family in Boston and discovers no one had ever met Patricia -- and that Hugh has a handsome twin brother, Bill (also Fraser).

This is one of my favorite movies. The plot, though expected (just like a good Hallmark movie, and i love a good Hallmark movie), makes you root for the underdog. To watch Connie Doyle become Mrs. Winterborne is touching as well as inspiring. I've watched this movie so many times, and it never gets boring to me. I highly recommend this movie, and kudos to a stellar cast.

This film just goes to show that all families have their secrets and problems. But the fact that they accept eachother anyway shows real maturity and it makes you love and appreciate the writers. And respect for the actor who played Steve. He made me so so nervous when he held that baby. And I love how everyone tries to confess to his murder. Ya gotta love loyalty. Especially from a wealthy family. And Shirley MacLaine portrayed the mother so well. She didn't judge, she just daw another mother who needed help and even when she learned the truth, she still loved Connie. That's amazing to me.

This movie was great. It had a strange premise of a man falling for his dead brother's fiancée. Rickie Lake plays the love interest. Brendan Fraser plays twin brothers. Shirley McClain plays the mother in law. This is definitely a chick flick. But the tango scene alone makes this movie worth the watch.

Synopsis
