Emily (Kaitlyn Burke) is struggling to adjust to life in a new city after her family moves from their California home. When she meets a lost bear cub near the family's property, she becomes intent on adopting it. Her father Greg (Ed Begley Jr.) refuses to go along with her plan, pledging to turn the cub in to the proper authorities.
