Audience Member If I could give 0 stars, I would give that. Please, if you are, or have a loved one who is overweight, or in general you care about the dignity of other people, do not watch this. If you find this very real issue funny, and you like cheap, low quality "humor" on the expense of overweight people, go for it. This film tries to sell itself as "feminist" which should be about inclusiveness and acceptance, however any solution to the problem is that you have the right to have body modifications, however it never teaches anything about accepting people as they are, or God forbid, that an overweight person could be as lovable, sweet and valuable to society as a thin one. Instead, it equates the value of a woman with the value of her body image. The "love" part is also very shallow, the guy has controlling tendencies and there is no real chemistry. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Entertaining and funny Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/26/21 Full Review Audience Member I just watched Muffin Top with my husband, and it was fantastic. I thought it would mainly be a "chick flick" but my husband enjoyed it as well. Cathryn Michon was absolutely wonderful in this love story. Such a wonderful thing to see that she taught in this movie, that women are viewed as thin, beautiful, etc, but we all aren't all like that, and can be just as happy as anyone else, we all deserve happiness, regardless of the shape or flavor of our own "Muffin Top". A truly wonderful love story! I could watch it over and over.......and might! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Aside from some decent writing here and there, this is a real turd. Our protagonist frets over her flab while seeking out a trim male counterpart. She frets over her husband's mistress yet they are the same size. She contemptuously labels thin models as "freaks" before the opening titles pass and then preaches a feminist message of bullshit empowerment. And then there's Arquette. God he's awful. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Worst writing, worst acting, unimaginative, clumsy and simplistic. Crap. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review b s brilliantly written and hilariously acted. awesome depiction of the ridiculous world of unrealistic expectations, insane hurdles and self imposed madness women today navigate.
