Identity crisis clichés are sidestepped effectively, whilst still allowing Kosciukiewicz to have solo scenes where Jacek questions what he has lost, and perhaps what he never really had in the first place.

"Fact 1: in Swiebodzin, Poland, since 2010 stands the tallest statue of Christ in the world, 36 meters excluding the base. Fact 2: in 2013, a 33 [!] year old worker, victim of an accident at work, underwent the first ever face transplant performed in Poland. Malgorzata Szumowska, in her seventh feature-length fiction film, fuses the two national primates" (Ilaria Feole) for an iconoclast operation on the excesses of bigotry and ignorance of her compatriots. She forgets that human hypocrisy is completely independent of Catholicism or any other form of spirituality. (Mauro Lanari)
