Robert Bianco USA Today All in all, it's a worthy subject to be sure. It just probably isn't the subject you might have expected. Oct 4, 2013 Full Review David Hinckley New York Daily News Whether the film gets all the nuances right is hard for civilians to say. But round for round, the fight is surprisingly lively. Rated: 4/5 Oct 4, 2013 Full Review David Wiegand San Francisco Chronicle The actors make Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight seem better than it is, but the real Ali, with all his youth, vigor, bravado and passion, convinces us that he and his case deserved much better. Rated: 2/4 Oct 4, 2013 Full Review Greg Evans Bloomberg News A bland Benjamin Walker and a scowling Pablo Schreiber add little depth to their roles as mouthpieces for either side of history. Oct 3, 2013 Full Review Simon Gallagher What Culture All-in-all it's a strong, if unspectacular piece - an interesting, untold element to a very famous story that undoubtedly deserved to be told, and this feels like the most successful way to have played it. Audience Member No Oscar winner, but good story . And cast Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/21 Full Review Audience Member This film gave the audience a look at what went on in the Supreme Court, behind closed doors, during the time when Muhamad Ali had refused to be drafted. I found the film interesting. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An unfairly overlooked and somewhat obscure entry in the array of Ali movies in two acts - the first focusing on the two, champion-making fights with Sonny Liston, the second anticipating the phenomenal 'Rumble in the Jungle'. Avoiding a talking-head or even narrated documentary approach (in contrast to the more popular "When We Were Kings"), Klein brings a gritty, authentic and realistic feel to his own personal Ali chronicle, less story-bound than WWWK and the handful of other Ali biopics, but one which effectively places the viewer slap-bang in the cultural change of mid-60's America and ten years later in a redemption-ready Africa. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm pretty sure I've seen this, and I remember it was good. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
