Audience Member Dull and unexciting tale of a prodigal son whose return to his small town is never explained and, frankly, unlikely to be divined by the audience. The quiet moral is a nasty one about shutting up and knowing your place. Sod that. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Moved along quiet slowly, ben mendelsohn was quite the spunk when he was younger me thinks. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this solid Aussie movie. Whilst it in no way reaches any great heights, it's a nice depiction of Australiana and what it's like living in a small country town in Australia. I definitely miss living in such an environment. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member An Australian classic and some might say you have to be Australian to get the whole picture. I love this movie and think that David Caesar is brilliant at capturing the essence of Australian culture and how we think and act. The scenery and back drop gets lost to Aussies but I am sure that everyone else see's something different. A great cast that gives of a reality of a small country town and their Footballing hero coming home to a mess he has left behind. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member good aussie flick! see it! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member i don't think i understood the australian life shown in the movie. should have watched it with an oz and asked heaps of questions. seems like a great movie, too bad i didn't get the essence of it.
