Anupama Chopra Film Companion Mumbai Saga is apparently inspired by true events. I think there is a compelling story here of how the contours and conscience of the city shifted in 1996 and what was lost when Bombay became Mumbai. But Sanjay isn't really interested in that. Mar 24, 2021 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express In Sanjay Gupta's better films, the bad guys used to be more interesting, the action used to be classy. This John Abraham-Emraan Hashmi film, however, feels jaded. Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 24, 2021 Full Review Stutee Ghosh The Quint Amartya's face softens only for two people. The love of his life Seema (Kajal Aggarwal), and his younger brother Arjun (Prateek Babbar). Sadly, these are also times when John's acting inadequacies show up. Rated: 2/5 Apr 6, 2021 Full Review Rahul Desai Film Companion Much of Sanjay Gupta's new gangster film - as well as its filmmaking - is based in the 1990s. Apr 6, 2021 Full Review Devesh Sharma Filmfare All-in-all, watch the movie if you're in the mood for some pulpy, '80s kind of movies, which were full of over-the-top characters and happenings but were good, clean fun nevertheless. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 6, 2021 Full Review Monika Rawal Kukreja Hindustan Times If you've followed Gupta's earlier gangster outings - Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout at Wadala, you'll likely enjoye Mumbai Saga, too. If not, watch it as an experiment and you may just end up liking it... Apr 6, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
